Major Whitlow, II is the Executive Director & President of Major College & Career Prep (MCCP), a recognized 501©3 Nonprofit. Major previously started and ran Uptempo, a nonprofit that opened in 2009 – 2015. UpTempo focused on sports which attracted youth while educating and training them. As a former youth coach, Major has prepared many young men that have gone on to great success in their professional careers. Through this, Major has uncovered a parental gap of information, resources, and educational guidance that our underserved communities are just not receiving.

He’s an accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a Florida based Internet Technology (I.T.) Security company with major Washington, DC roots. Major now applies his diverse leadership experiences as COO of a I.T. Security based company and former Executive Director of UpTempo, Inc. to a reorganized nonprofit organization that now concentrates on our youth through educational advocacy, College tours, technical training, assistance in preparing to higher education.

Major has three beautiful children one of which has graduated from University of South Florida (USF) and the youngest daughter is currently a Senior at University of Alabama (UA). His goal is the not only help prepare our youth but also to assist the parents navigate the best path of what can be a treacherous process with hard to find resources for their students so they would not have to go through what he had to endure.

Numerous organizations have recognized Major’s community and professional contributions, including Leon County Schools (Volunteer of the Year nominee) and multiple Coaching Awards.
